Doug Rowell has been at Melbourne Polytechnic since 2013, teaching into agronomy and core subjects of the Bachelor of Agriculture and Technology.
Prior to teaching, Doug came from a twenty-year career in research, that ranged from forest ecology, soil and plant nutrition, breeding for climate resilience in forest plantations and agro-environmental science. At Melbourne Polytechnic, Doug’s current teaching and research focus is on soil ecology and remote sensing of soil-crop systems.
Doug has a PhD from the University of Melbourne, a MSc (Forest Ecology) from the University of British Columbia, and a BSc (Forestry) Honours from the Australian National University.
