Logesvary Krishnasamy teaches for Melbourne Polytechnic’s Information Technology department. She teaches Certificate, Diploma and Advance Diploma courses that specialise in IT. As a vocational teacher in Melbourne Polytechnic, Logesvary has always demonstrated the principle of lifelong learning, believing that it is essential in the professional and personal life.
Real-life case studies and exercises that mimic the IT workplace have been a priority for Logesvary’s teaching content. Her experience has taught her that sort of learning environment keeps students engaged and provides great motivation for students’ independent learning.
Logesvary has over 21 years of experience in vocational teaching and tertiary education. She has had various roles in the areas of teaching, curriculum development, providing support through education technology and education policy. As a vocational teacher at Melbourne Polytechnic, Logesvary includes hands-on class activities to ensure that each student gets the opportunity to put the theory that they have learnt into practice. Her aim as a teacher is to provide top quality education in the field of IT to students with all abilities.
Logesvary completed a Bachelor of Business (Information Systems) at Victoria University in 2001. She has obtained her Master of Information Technology at University Malaya in 2007. In vocational sector, she has first-hand experience in coordinating, designing and assisting in the implementation of the blended learning delivery mode for the Certificate IV in Information Technology for vocational institutes.
