Shane Wilkinson
Shane has worked in the TAFE sector since 2002 in various roles and industry areas. He is an experienced educational manager having supported students in their learning journey through management of programs and staff since 2010 and managed Higher Education programs at Melbourne Polytechnic since 2019.
At Melbourne Polytechnic Shane provides leadership to the Heads of Program across the areas of Accounting, Architecture, Business, Civil Engineering, Hospitality Management and Information Technology; including TEQSA and Industry/professional accreditations, Stakeholder relationship management with educational and industry partners in Australia and off-shore.
Shane is particularly proud of the industry opportunities that students in these programs have via capstone projects, industry research partnerships and internships; and the opportunities that have been provided to students in off-shore programs both in their home countries and as they pathway to Melbourne campuses.
Over many years working with students, Shane is constantly in awe of the tenacity and perseverance of the students he encounters and is excited by their enthusiasm and the opportunity to support them in their learning journey.
