Shaun is a dedicated education professional with over 25 years of experience in both secondary and tertiary sectors.

 As the Manager of Education Technologies at Melbourne Polytechnic for over nine years, he has fostered a welcoming environment that encourages innovation and inclusivity in learning and teaching.

His extensive national and international experience in implementing technology systems has not only enhanced efficiencies but also provided flexibility for diverse learning needs. Shaun’s curiosity drives his exploration of the intersection between computer science and the sociology of learning, utilizing learning analytics and educational data mining to better understand student experiences and technology environments. 

A strong advocate for collaboration, Shaun has been an active member of the TAFE Advisory Group for over a decade, supporting LMS implementation across seven TAFE institutes in Victoria. His collaborative efforts have led to successful partnerships with vendors and stakeholders, ensuring that educational solutions meet the needs of all learners.

Shaun is also accountable in his approach, having worked on a number of significant projects. His commitment to evidence-based practices was recognized through an International Specialised Skills Fellowship, where he developed innovative learning designs that prioritize student success through the use of learning analytics. 

Shaun has been a Melbourne Polytechnic Board member since January 2025.
