Warren Crossett works as an illustration teacher at Melbourne Polytechnic. Warren has produced illustrations for a host of high-profile clients, including Melbourne Airport, Fosters, AFL, Parks Victoria, Fisher Price, Cadbury-Schweppes as well as completing international commissions for Hewlett Packard, Epsom, Bank of China, and Bank of Thailand.
With over twenty years' experience as a teacher and freelance illustrator, Warren is both willing and able to pass on his extensive experience of illustration, editorial, book publishing, advertising, and illustration for design. His knowledge of hand drawn illustrative techniques and materials is unsurpassed, earning him the affectionate title of the "Woracle".
Warren’s work has also been included in prestigious journals such as Graphics Posters and the British Design and Art Direction annual for which he received a Silver Award in 2000. Warren was runner up for the Children's Book Council Australia's Picture book of the year in 2007 and his picture book "This is Mud" regularly featured on the ABC TV's Playschool. Warren won the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 2015, after being a semi-finalist on three other occasions. He was also finalist in the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Award.
