Plumbing Registration Exam

Short Course

Overview

The Plumbing Registration Examination is only suitable for graduates of a Certificate III in Plumbing apprenticeship.

The examinations will be conducted at our Heidelberg Campus and will take place over three days.

Examiners will assess the following streams:

  • Water
  • Gas
  • Commissioning
  • Drainage
  • Roofing
  • Sanitary

Each stream will take three hours for the examination, except for Commissioning which is a 30 minute examination.

All Examination results will be issued by the Victoria Building Authority (VBA).

Transfers and Refunds

A refund or transfer is only possible if you apply at least 5 business days prior to the course commencing. A standard handling charge of 10% of the advertised course fee will be deducted from each refund. Requests for refunds or transfers made within five business days of the course start date will not be eligible.

When enrolling into this course under “Available Sessions” below, you must use a personal email address as your primary email address. You will not be able to receive your qualification with a work email address. My eQuals (the qualification platform) will not accept a work email.

Requirements

To be eligible to sit the Plumbing Registration Exam you must have completed all your Certificate III in Plumbing units of competency.

Materials

Participants must wear:

  • Work clothing - Long pants (No shorts)
  • Protective equipment (Work boots, safety glasses)

Please bring:

  • A pen
  • Notebook
  • Standard plumbing tools required to undertake exams
  • AS/NZS 3500.1:2018 Plumbing and Drainage
  • AS/NZS 5601 Set 2013 Gas Installation
  • AS HB39: 2015 Code of Common Practice for Steel Roofing
